You can tell this is Totepo because of his armor, obviously, facially, there is little difference between Totepo and the others in Oozaru form.

the 3rd In Command.
Below is the character Totepo reminds me of.
At first glance Totepo, whose name is a play-off potato, may seem like a dumb, oafish, strongman type character. And his low voice doesn't help, however when watching the movie he's not as he seems.
You could say that Totepo is the philosopher of the group. His words often are metaphorical, for instance when Celipa says she doesn't remember what happens while being an Oozaru, Totepo says "I with you [Celipa], It's kind of like a dream," (That is from FUNImation's version, in the real one Totepo never speaks)
People who know a lot about Bardock and Co. may have looked at me sideways when reading the the words under Totepo. There has been know actual statement saying Totepo was even the third-in-command, however if you think about it, he probably is, i'll elaborate.
I assume Bardock would've maken the third person to join his clan be his 3rd-in-command. And here is all my basis on why I think Totepo was that person.
1)Panboukin is the weakest one so when Bardock & Toma were looking for a 3rd they wouldn't choose him.
2)I think Celipa is Panboukin's sister, so she would only know Bardock through Panboukin...so she couldn't join
3) Even if Celipa is not his sister still Bardock would not choose a female to join his team first.
4) Totepo is the 3rd strongest of the 5. Panboukin and Celipa died before Totepo, and Toma & Bardock, who are the 2nd & 1st in command, died before him. So it would make perfect sense that the rank order was also power order, so that would make Totepo 3rd in command.
Heh, also I think Totepo and Celipa are best friends but I won't get into it, my finger are getting all hurtin'

The Character Totepo reminds me of
This is Android #17. The reason he reminds me of Totepo is because he's keeps his speeches short and sweet he's never overly upset, angry, or joyous, and he's just a good fighter. Piccolo is also a lot like Totepo but he gets angry easily whereas 17 and Totepo both show small signs of emotion. |
